The Holiday season is upon us. Christmas movies have been playing on TV for well over a month. The stores are filled with shoppers. The mailbox is stuffed with catalogs and flyers.
I have many wonderful memories of the Holidays and some very sad ones as well. I have experienced serious loss during the Holidays as well as great joy.
Take this season to make memories. Spend time with your loved ones. Go out and experience new places and events. Do what you love or what you have always dreamed of. This season, make up for the last couple of years when many people were asked to stay home and make sacrifices.
This is the year to make the season the best ever!

THE GIFT OF TRAVEL
People often think the idea of giving travel as a gift is strange, difficult, or would take away the fun of the season. Let me assure you that travel is a great gift.
Travel on holidays such as Christmas and the New Year can be convenient because you may have time off of work and school, however that also tends to make destinations busy and more expensive. The decorations and festive atmosphere may make it all worth it.
Presenting the trip on the holiday and then traveling later can be a great alternative. You can reserve the trip now, lock in the rates and travel when prices are lower, and give something special Christmas morning to surprise the recipient.
The budget-focused person in the family loves this second option. Just think how much money you would save if you planned a family spring break trip and gave it as a Christmas gift along with a couple of small travel-related gifts. You are able to use the same trip for two special occasions and get months to plan and get excited together.
Just about any type of trip can be planned in advance and given as a gift.
